Kid Detectives: The Mysterious Encounter with AI

Join a group of four kid detectives and help them find out about STEM while developing problem solving, observation and deduction, and investigating skills.

Our four detectives, Farah, Amelia, Mohammad and Sam, have entered an inter-school quiz competition. They need to study and prepare if they want to win. They go to the library and meet the new librarian, who is behaving very strangely for a librarian. The gang and the reader soon discover that she is a robot powered by Artificial Intelligence but something is wrong with her code. When they ask her for books about the solar system, the theme for this year''s quiz, her eyes go red and she restarts and asks them what she can help them with!

With the help of their school''s IT technician, Mrs Khan, the four friends uncover what has gone wrong with the librarian and learn how AI works (neural networks, algorithms, coding, instructions, etc). The children (and reader) then fix the robot. The story ends with the c
