This book is about boats left high and dry in North-Norway and is a journey along the shores of Nordland, Troms and Finnmark. It is a photo documentary about boats on land. They don't belong there, but at the same time, their existence is proof of their survival - boats that did not sink. They have lived a long life on the sea and ended their days without incident. Finally, they were allowed to disintegrate at their own pace. Although in disrepair, the wrecks can be regarded as sculptures on land that bear witness to a narrative, both about themselves and the people living alongside them.
